Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an Entry Level Desktop Support Analyst to join our dynamic IT support team. In this role, you will provide essential technical assistance to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, hardware, and software across the organization. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in IT support, network administration, and computer management within a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to technical challenges. Duties Respond promptly to help desk requests related to hardware, software, and network issues using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira. Troubleshoot and resolve software problems across various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux. Assist with computer setup, configuration, and maintenance for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. Support network infrastructure including LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, and firewall configurations. Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO). Perform routine updates and patches using tools like SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) to ensure security compliance. Monitor and maintain computer hardware components and peripheral devices. Assist in managing IT infrastructure components such as Microsoft Windows Server environments and network devices like Meraki or BMC Remedy. Support the deployment and administration of computer management tools including JAMF or other endpoint management solutions. Collaborate with team members on projects involving network administration, security protocols, and system upgrades. Communicate effectively with end-users to provide clear guidance on technical issues and solutions. Experience Prior experience or internships in IT support or help desk roles is preferred but not mandatory; relevant coursework or certifications are advantageous. Familiarity with troubleshooting software issues across multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux. Basic understanding of computer networking concepts such as
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN
architecture. Knowledge of computer hardware components and peripherals. Experience with remote support tools such as TeamViewer or AnyDesk is a plus. Strong analysis skills to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently. Excellent communication skills for effective customer service interactions with diverse users. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
