Life Insurance Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Entry-Level IT Technician to provide short-term support for our IT department during an upcoming computer deployment project. In this hands-on role, you will assist with configuring, imaging, deploying, and troubleshooting desktop and laptop computers using Microsoft Autopilot and related technologies. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable industry experience and build your technical skills in a fast-paced professional environment.
Responsibilities:
Setup, image, configure, and roll out Windows laptops and desktops using Microsoft Autopilot. Handle physical equipment preparation, including staging, labeling, packaging, and distribution. Identify and resolve basic hardware, software, and network connectivity issues during deployment. Support device enrollment and verify software installations, security settings, and device compliance. Provide hands-on assistance during workstation setups, equipment replacements, and user onboarding. Record deployment progress, document technical resolutions, and maintain accurate inventory tracking. Deliver professional end-user support while escalating complex technical issues to senior IT staff as needed.
Education:
High School High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate/Bachelor's degree or coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field. CompTIA A+
Microsoft Certified:
Fundamentals (e.g., MS-900 or MD-102 coursework)
Experience:
12 months 0-1 years of experience in an IT support, customer service, or technical hands-on environment (or equivalent academic/lab coursework). Basic hands-on familiarity with setting up computer hardware, setting up peripherals, and navigating Windows 10/11 operating systems. Academic or personal experience with Microsoft Autopilot, Intune, Active Directory, or ticketing systems. Prior experience with desktop/laptop imaging, device rollouts, or hardware deployment projects.
Physical:
Standing / Walking Bending / Stooping / Kneeling Manual Dexterity PPE Required (Noise / Chemical / Dust) Moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs)
Skills:
Familiarity with Windows 10/11 installation, setting adjustments, user profiles, and updates. Ability to unbox, assemble, cable manage, and connect PCs, laptops, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals. Systematic approach to identifying and resolving basic hardware power issues, peripheral failures, display problems, and software glitches. Understanding basic connectivity (Ethernet, Wi-Fi setup, IP addressing, DNS, and local network hookups).
