Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing network configurations, and assisting users with their IT needs. The IT Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our office technology and supporting our staff in their daily operations. Responsibilities Provide desktop support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues promptly. Manage VPN connections and ensure secure remote access for employees. Offer technical support through help desk services, resolving user inquiries effectively. Conduct routine maintenance on computer hardware and peripherals to ensure optimal performance. Assist in the installation and configuration of operating systems and software applications. Monitor network security, including firewall management, to protect against unauthorized access. Document technical procedures and create user guides for common IT tasks. Collaborate with other IT team members to enhance system performance and reliability. Train staff on new technologies and best practices for computer management. Qualifications Proven experience in IT support or technical support roles. Strong knowledge of desktop support principles, including troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) is preferred. Experience with computer hardware installation, maintenance, and repair. Understanding of VPN technology and network security protocols (firewalls). Excellent problem-solving skills with a customer-focused attitude. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
