This position provides technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. The IT Support Specialist is responsible for responding to help desk requests, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a high level of customer service across the organization. Essential Functions Technical Support Answer help desk calls and provide technical support for hardware and software issues. Monitor and manage the help desk ticketing system; prioritize and respond to issues promptly. Troubleshoot and resolve issues across multiple platforms including Windows 10/11, IBM i, Raspberry Pi, Kyocera printers, networking equipment, print servers, and cloud-based phone systems. Perform on-site and remote troubleshooting to minimize operational disruptions. Communication & Coordination Communicate effectively with end users and departments, providing regular updates on ticket status and resolutions. Provide end-user training and support on IT systems and applications. Collaborate with the IT team on technology solutions that improve productivity and efficiency. Inventory & Compliance Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies; assist with ordering as needed. Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures. Assist with IT-related projects and additional tasks as assigned. Requirements Strong attention to detail and critical-thinking skills for troubleshooting. Excellent customer service and a professional, helpful attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Self-motivated, task-oriented, and accountable. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and provide on-site support across multiple buildings, including remote support to satellite facilities. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. Education & Experience Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, but not required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Information Technology.
Working Hours Monday-Thursday:
7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Friday:
7:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. (or until production is done) Very Rare Saturdays.
