ATA Services is currently seeking to hire a Help Desk Technician to work on a temporary assignment with the State of NM•Department of Information Technology. This position is NOT remote .
Rate:
$26.00 per hour with weekly pay
Schedule:
Monday•Friday; 8 A.M.•5 P.M.

•Santa Fe, NM Position Summary Help Desk roles, including Help Desk Technician and Help Desk Specialist, serve as the first point of contact for users experiencing technical problems. Help Desk Technicians combine technical expertise with customer service skills to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues efficiently, supporting both employees and external clients. Key Responsibilities Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, or chat and provide timely technical support Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, including application configurations and connectivity problems Run diagnostic programs, isolate problems, and implement solutions to restore functionality Document issues, resolutions, and procedures for future reference Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and peripherals Provide guidance to users on software usage and best practices to enhance productivity Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff when necessary Required Skills and Qualifications Technical skills: Knowledge of operating systems, Microsoft Office, antivirus software, networking, and common business applications Soft skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service abilities Certifications (optional but preferred): ITIL, HDI, MCP, MOUS, CE, CCNA, or other relevant IT certifications
Experience:
