Job Description
HPC Industrial powered by Clean Harbors is seeking an IS Technician to support IT systems at industrial and energy facilities. This role installs, configures, and troubleshoots desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and basic network equipment used in field and plant environments. The IS Technician responds to tickets, supports users, maintains hardware inventories, and helps ensure uptime for critical operational systems. Working closely with field teams, this position follows strict safety procedures, participates in safety training, and documents work to support compliant, reliable operations and future career growth. Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices used in field and plant environments Provide on-site and remote support to users, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues Assist with basic network troubleshooting for switches, cabling, and wireless access in industrial settings Document incidents, resolutions, and asset details in ticketing and inventory systems Support deployment and maintenance of IT systems that interface with industrial and operational equipment Follow all safety procedures and participate in required safety meetings and training Collaborate with field and operations teams to minimize downtime for critical systems Assist with system upgrades, patches, and rollouts under guidance from senior IT staff Required Skills Hardware installation and troubleshooting Windows OS administration Basic networking (TCP/IP, switches, routers) Industrial control/field device support Ticketing and incident tracking systems User support and training System and asset documentation Mobile devices and rugged hardware support Basic cybersecurity practices Remote access and VPN tools
