Job Description
IT Specialist
NET, C#, and SQL is a plus. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Independently diagnoses and resolves standard OS, device, and desktop-application issues across assigned units, without escalation. Uses modern endpoint management tools (MECM, Intune, Jamf) to deploy, patch, and maintain devices for assigned units unassisted. Independently activates ports, troubleshoots unit connectivity, provisions client access to local and non-local systems, and maintains device security in line with policy. Builds ongoing relationships with unit faculty, staff, and leadership through regular meetings, and communicates status and options clearly. Writes clear documentation and knowledge articles for supported systems as needed. Consults with units to define problems and recommend services; participates in evaluating, procuring, and implementing technology and in using shared services to reduce duplication. Contributes to project plans by estimating technical steps and durations, and communicates effectively with team members. Independently prioritizes a varied workload across units and adjusts to changing needs, policies, and technical environments without loss of quality. Works effectively within the team and shares practical knowledge with peers. Appointment Information This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5031
