Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Information Technology and a passion for innovative technology solutions. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT systems for a diverse pool of clients while ensuring optimal performance and security. This position requires remote and onsite support on a routine basis. Candidate must be willing to travel to different locations primarily in the Hampton Roads/Williamsburg area as well as other areas throughout Virginia when necessary. Experience working for an IT Managed Services Provider (MSP) is preferred. Responsibilities Serve in a lead role on a wide range of IT related projects (cloud/on-prem). Provide Helpdesk and Managed Services support within parameters of customer SLA's. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions. Ensure the security of IT systems by implementing best practices and compliance measures. Conduct regular system audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement. Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent Experience). Proven experience as an IT Systems Engineer or similar role. Strong understanding of system architecture and design principles. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory including Azure, AWS. Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., M365, AWS, Azure) and system automation tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA) are a plus. Minimum (7 years) Experience working for an MSP or IT Services company
