Manage activities of assigned projects from project initiation through completion with limited guidance; coordinate all technical activities on assigned projects. Work is typically comprised of 30% time contribution towards project leadership and 70% as a technical contributor.CORE DUTIES
Review project plans and proposals, and work with management to develop project objectives; identify project responsibilities by determining the phases and elements of the project; calculate time frames and sequence the stages of the project. Perform project management oversight of small projects (under $100k) or more than one large task within a larger project. Oversee, coordinate, and perform technical aspects of project, with guidance, based on type of project manager support required (e.g., engineer, quality, scheduler). Review, evaluate, approve, and monitor cost schedule and technical scope baselines. Ensure the preparation of required project documentation. Support Project Management team to create and maintain project related documentation for reliability of production systems. Maintain and update Project plans to track progress. Compile data and generate ad hoc reports and metrics related to any project phase. Support and follow-up on project-specific requirements and coordinate project closeout details. Update and maintain Business Requirement Documents, traceability matrix, test case documents to ensure proper testing coverage for reliability and quality of systems. Support application quality, reliability and change management tasks and follow-up as needed Support service now tickets. Work proactively with analysts and development team in problem analysis and defect resolution. Build and execute automated and manual test cases for functional, regression testing. Report defects, defect status, and testing status accurately and concisely using JIRA. Maintain and update team knowledge base. Coordinate project status meetings; Assist in deliverables writeup and coordinate relevant documents during the SDLC(Software development lifecycle); Coordinate responses to bugs and help tickets and perform other coordination tasks as necessary. Develop, monitor and maintain project schedules; Attend project status meetings on a regular basis and document progressstatus reports of defined milestones. Manage the development and completion of punch lists for the SDLC; Manage the task plans, timelines and schedules for project under the overall direction of the project managerleads; Manage the technical close out of projects including organizing documentation; Assist with managing the user outreach and issue updates to users as required; Manage small projects and serve as back up to the Project Manager in meetings and management tasks, as necessary. Participate in requirement definition and team design meetings; Support the User Acceptance Test (UAT) phase by working with QA members on testing and documenting results; Understand both technical designs and data specifications having enough technical understanding to contribute during the review processes.Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or a combination of education and experience, and two years of directly related experience performing responsibilities similar to those listed above or combination of education and relevant experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Polished written and oral communication skills to address a wide variety of audiences. Ability to productively contribute to cross-functional teams. Depth of knowledge in technical disciplinedomain needed to deliver projects. This role is open to candidates anywhere in the United States. The compensation for this position will be based on the location of the successful candidate. The expected pay range for this position is $105,285 - $126,121 per annum for Stanford Work Locations. The expected pay range for this position is $63,171-$113,509 per annum for remote locations. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage the university reasonably expects to pay for a position upon hire. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
