Provide technical assistance and field service to customers by performing one or more of the following: Engineering assistance application, programming specifications, etc. Field service installation start-up integration, system optimization, maintenance and warranty implementation. Troubleshooting of hardware and software problems at customer site. Provide customer coordination of Rockwell Automation products and systems. Perform on-site analysis and specification preparation, hardware configuration - system and product application, programming assistance for PLC's, HMI's, motion controllers, low voltage or medium voltage drives, MagneMotion, iTrak programming, and Rockwell Advanced Software configuration. Participate in project coordination between customer, OEM sales, product division, etc. Conduct technical support - field start-up, integration and maintenance of low voltage drives, medium voltage drives, MagneMotion, iTrak, voltage sag protectors, vibration monitors, and motion controllers. Provide proper reporting of technical, administrative and accounting information as required. Provide technical assistance to sales and customer personnel on product applications to include alternatives, recommendations, explanations, surveys, etc. to meet the customer's requirements. Provide feedback concerning safety and liability issues as it relates to the application of Rockwell Automation products. Build and maintain good relationships with the customers. Mentor and share experience to team in technical topics. Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in engineering, technology, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience in each of the following: PLC and HMI programming utilizing RSLogix 5, 500, 5000, RSView32, FactoryTalk Studio Software or FTView ME/SE, Networking RIO, DH+, D-Net, and Ethernet Communication. Migration-Drive Migration. Migrating legacy Allen-Bradley as well as other legacy 3rd party brands such as Siemens, Modicon, Reliance Electric, Honeywell, ABB, Wonderware, or Omron.IEC 61131
standard languages (Ladder, Function Block, Sequential Function Charts, and Structured Text). PowerFlex products and applications. Working with Low and Medium Voltage PowerFlex Drives. Active Front End Technology, Sync Transfer, DC drives, and web handling technology. Ethernet/IP, Stratix Switches. Diagnosing Network & Ethernet issues. Networks including EtherNet, ControlNet, and DeviceNet. Factorytalk Security and support of Controls Infrastructure and securing Cybersecurity threats. Application/Project experience utilizing Rockwell's Advanced Software Packages such as Historian, AssetCentre, VantagePoint, Plant/Energy Matrix, ACM Machine Builder and ACM Rapid Launch. Virtual Machine computing and Thin Client technology. Servo/Motion control. Use of advanced motion such as electronic cams, electronic gearing, registration, virtual masters, and coordinated motion instructions. Using tools for migration/modernization such as motion clamp tools. Motion Analyzer and sizing dynamics of customer's systems. Allen-Bradley MegaDySC, ProdDysc or MiniDysc products or maintenance or startup for any of the brands that support voltage sag correction hardware. Dynamix 1444 Integrated Condition Monitoring System or experience with any vibration monitoring equipment brands. Familiarity or use of ISA 88 and work around refinery automation such as centrifuges and heat exchangers. Must be willing to work around Medium Voltage (1kV to 35kv). Domestic travel required up to 75% to various client sites and remote locations including mines and offshore vessels. When not required on-site, telecommuting permitted up to 100%; candidate may reside anywhere in the United States.
