Job Responsibilities:

The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, is accepting internal only applications for a Campus Support Team Lead in the Department of Information Technology Services. This position provides day-to-day leadership for the Campus Support team while remaining actively engaged in advanced technical support, classroom technology services, and campus technology initiatives.

Primary responsibilities include:

Lead and coordinate the daily activities of a team of three Campus Support Technicians. Manage ticket queues, workload assignments, service priorities, and escalation processes. Serve as the primary escalation point for advanced technical issues and customer concerns. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and macOS computers, printers, scanners, and associated technologies. Coordinate technology deployment projects, computer refresh initiatives, software rollouts, and classroom technology upgrades under the direction of ITS leadership. Provide advanced classroom technology support including projectors, AV control systems, conferencing equipment, instructional technologies, and audiovisual systems. Coach, mentor, train, and develop technical staff while promoting service excellence and professional growth. Oversee documentation practices, asset management activities, inventory control, and service quality standards. Support campus events requiring sound, projection, livestreaming, and audiovisual services. Collaborate with faculty, staff, campus departments, and ITS leadership to ensure successful delivery of technical services. Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and training materials. Assist ITS leadership with operational improvements, resource planning, and implementation of technology initiatives.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience. Experience supporting enterprise technology environments and providing technical guidance, operational coordination, or advanced technical support. Working knowledge of desktop operating systems, endpoint devices, and common enterprise technologies. Strong customer service, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, prioritize competing responsibilities, and maintain professionalism in a diverse academic environment. Ability to coordinate activities, manage multiple priorities, and support departmental objectives. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Valid South Carolina driver's license required or ability to obtain one within 90 days. Must be able to drive a van and golf cart. Availability to support after-hours and weekend events as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a supervisory, team lead, senior technical support, or other leadership capacity. Experience coordinating staff activities, service delivery efforts, technology deployments, projects, or operational initiatives. Experience supporting Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, endpoint management platforms, classroom technologies, or audiovisual systems. CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, or equivalent industry certifications. Experience with enterprise endpoint management tools and asset management systems. Experience supporting classroom technologies, audiovisual systems, and campus events. Knowledge of IT service management best practices and process improvement methodologies. Experience working within higher education, government, military, or similarly complex organizational environments.
