Job Description

Company Overview C.T. Lowndes & Company is a historic, family-owned insurance agency with a rich legacy dating back to 1850. With multiple locations throughout the Lowcountry, we pride ourselves on delivering honest, reliable service and building lasting customer relationships through integrity and professionalism. Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Entry-Level Help Desk Technician to join our IT team. This role serves as the first point of contact for technical support within the agency, assisting employees with hardware, software, and network-related issues. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, communicates clearly, and enjoys solving problems. Key Responsibilities Provide first-line technical support to agency staff via phone, email, and ticketing system Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices Document support requests, resolutions, and procedures in the ticketing system Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as needed Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access permissions Support IT projects and system upgrades as assigned Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in IT-related field preferred Basic understanding of computer systems, operating systems (Windows/Mac), and common software applications Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques and customer support principles Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn new technologies and processes Preferred Qualifications CompTIA A+ certification (or willingness to obtain) Internship, coursework, or hands-on experience in IT support Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools Work Environment Office-based with occasional on-site support across multiple agency locations May require occasional after-hours or on-call support
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
