Field Technology Support Specialist The Field Technology Support Specialist serves as the primary liaison between the internal Laundry Technology Team and Customer Support Team. Key responsibilities include actively monitoring connected devices (machines, kiosks, and gateways), identifying errors and outages, and collaborating with vendors and internal teams to address and resolve issues. Additionally, this team member plays a key role in enhancing product awareness and fostering relationships with both internal and external teams and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management Lead and manage payment technology installation, deployment and change order projects ensuring timeliness, quality standards and requirements are met Oversee end-to-end project lifecycles, including planning, execution, risk mitigation, and post-implementation support Manage and prioritize multiple initiatives, balancing field support needs with strategic project objectives Partner with internal teams to troubleshoot, find root causes and resolve payment technology issues impacting field service team. Lead resolution of escalated incidents by aligning resources, tracking progress and ensuring clear communication across teams. Monitoring Systems Manage monitoring tools to ensure continuous observation of connected devices. Proactively identify potential issues, anomalies, or performance degradation. Perform configuration changes and updates in concert with the broader Laundry Tech Team Performance Analysis Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Provide recommendations for enhancing device utilization and productivity. Identify backend tool configurations for optimal service repair results Issue Resolution Closely monitor internal Chat Streams and Distribution list communications to ensure prompt response times from the entire Laundry Technology Team. React to incidents, problems, or service disruptions identified through monitoring, with the goal of minimizing downtime. First line of support for field service team troubleshooting modems, gateways, POS readers and other technology devices. Resolve issues promptly either directly, through the creation of service tickets or escalating them to higher-level support. User Training Collaborate on knowledge transfer sessions to empower Field Service, Collections and Customer Support with troubleshooting skills and product fluency. Collaboration Work directly with vendor support teams to troubleshoot and determine the best course of action on specific issues. Work closely with other Payment Technology team members to ensure a cohesive and effective monitoring strategy. What we are looking for:
High School Diploma or equivalent; or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to pass pre-employment screening. Ability to convey technical information in a clear and understandable manner to end-users with varying levels of technical expertise. Strong background in Microsoft Office Products, specifically MS Excel Ability to identify and address challenges, make informed decisions, and adapt to changing circumstances. Strong Organizational Skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Professional and friendly oral and written communication skills. Capacity to remain seated in front of a computer screen for prolonged durations. Work Schedule Typical work week Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; some non-standard hours, weekends, and travel, as needed.
