Job Description
IT Support Specialist We are seeking a dependable and technically skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for providing day-to-day technical support while maintaining critical IT, security, communication, and employee technology systems across the organization. The ideal candidate is hands-on, responsive, organized, and comfortable troubleshooting a variety of hardware, software, network, security, and user-access issues. Key Responsibilities Maintain and administer the company's security camera (CCTV) systems , ensuring system reliability, availability, and proper operation. Maintain and manage burglary and intrusion detection systems , including troubleshooting and coordination of system-related issues. Maintain and administer door access control systems , including employee access setup, changes, removal, and troubleshooting. Maintain and manage the company's VoIP phone system , including user accounts, extensions, device configuration, and technical support. Maintain and administer the company's facial recognition time clock and employee timekeeping system . Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 user accounts , including account setup, permissions, access management, password assistance, and troubleshooting. Maintain and support the company's internal network and Wi-Fi infrastructure , diagnosing and resolving connectivity and network-related issues. Prepare, configure, deploy, and maintain computers, laptops, phones, and other IT equipment for employees. Coordinate IT onboarding for new employees, ensuring required equipment, accounts, systems, and access are ready prior to their start date. Support employee offboarding by collecting, disabling, and decommissioning company equipment, accounts, and system access. Provide timely IT technical support to employees and troubleshoot hardware, software, account, connectivity, and system-related issues. Manage and resolve requests submitted through the company's IT ticketing system , documenting issues and resolutions appropriately. Maintain accurate records of company IT equipment, user access, and assigned technology assets. Escalate complex technical or security-related issues to the IT Manager when appropriate. Assist with system upgrades, installations, equipment replacements, and other technology initiatives. Perform additional IT-related projects and responsibilities as assigned by the IT Manager. Qualifications Previous experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, systems support, or a related IT role . Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and user account management . Experience troubleshooting computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, software, and network connectivity. Familiarity with Wi-Fi, LAN/network infrastructure, VoIP systems, CCTV/security cameras, intrusion detection systems, and access control systems preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple technical support requests. Strong communication and customer service skills when assisting employees with technical issues. Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with employee accounts, security systems, access credentials, and company information. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with the IT Manager and other departments.
