Senior Tech Support Engineer
Job Description
SHR Talent is seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer to serve as a key technical resource for customers, distributors, and internal teams. This hands-on role combines engineering, technical support, product development, testing, and process optimization. The ideal candidate enjoys troubleshooting, working directly with customers, and applying engineering expertise to real-world manufacturing challenges. Key Responsibilities Serve as a technical resource for customers and distributors. Troubleshoot manufacturing and process challenges involving composite materials and related applications. Provide technical recommendations, training, and hands-on customer support. Support product implementation, qualification, and process optimization. Evaluate customer processes and recommend improvements to efficiency and product performance. Conduct laboratory and field testing to validate material and process performance. Evaluate new products, technologies, and customer-specific solutions. Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Sales, and Purchasing teams. Prepare technical reports, application guides, training materials, and presentations. Support customer demonstrations, technical training, trade shows, and industry events. Stay current on emerging technologies, industry standards, and competitive developments. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering , or a related field; Master's preferred. 3+ years of experience in composite materials, process engineering, or technical service/support within a manufacturing or aerospace environment. Hands-on experience with composite processing, vacuum bagging, autoclave curing, resin infusion, or additive manufacturing. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent technical and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently and effectively with cross-functional teams. Must qualify as a U.S. Person under applicable export control regulations (ITAR) . Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally . Preferred Skills Strong knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing processes. Experience with laboratory testing and data analysis. Technical writing and presentation experience. Strong customer relationship and communication skills. Multilingual abilities are a plus. Why Join?
