Job description Classification Summary This position is a full-time, hourly position, reporting to the VP of Operations. Flexible work hours will fall between 9 am to 5 pm Monday- Friday, however some Saturdays, some overtime, and various work hours may occasionally be required. Job Title Summary The Senior IT Technician is responsible for leading and managing the IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives. This position is critical in maintaining the productivity of staff and ensuring technology resources are effectively maintained and utilized. The Senior IT Technician will have a variety of responsibilities that focus implementing systems, ensuring project completion, managing physical security, developing policies to protect sensitive business data, and oversight of supporting IT staff. Essential Job Functions
  • Develop and execute IT strategies that align with the credit unions growth and operational goals.
  • Provide strategic oversight of data governance, compliance, and IT risk management.
  • Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies to protect sensitive business data to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Assist in disaster recovery planning penetration testing, and security awareness training.
  • Lead and manage IT department personnel to ensure seamless IT operations for all branches.
  • Oversee technology adoption and automation projects to enhances business processes, office expansions, acquisitions, or relocations.
  • Respond to and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Provide telephone and onsite support for problem resolution relating to both technology and software applications, as well as telecommunication equipment, and camera systems.
  • Assist users with software applications, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on equipment and software.
  • Monitor and maintain IT equipment and supplies.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommended resolutions.
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Provide user training and support for developed applications.
  • Recommend systems modifications to reduce user problems.

  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with users and staff.
  • Provide after-hours support required for essential business functions.
  • Stay updated on current technology trends and best practices in IT support.
  • Follow established IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance and security.
  • Assist with the setup and configuration of new hardware and software.
  • Provide basic network support, including troubleshooting connectivity issues and assisting with network equipment.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • May require travel to various branches as needed for normal technical support. Qualifications
  • Information Technology degree and experience in an IT support role
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365, Windows Desktop/Server OS, Dell PC equipment
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.

  • Employees are regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Travel to branches when necessary.
  • Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25lbs
  • Occasional pushing or pulling of over 25lbs
  • The physical requirements in an office environment may require lifting boxes of supplies, and equipment, and occasional adjustments of office furniture Work Environment
  • Ability to adapt to inclement weather conditions and/or situations
  • Noise level within the office environment is normally moderate
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and deal effectively with stress
  • Ability to perform duties and adapt to flexible work schedules as established by
