Job Description

Overview Employnet is hiring for a detail-oriented IT Technician to join our client in Pharr, TX. This role provides first-line technical support for all employees within the organization. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Respond to and resolve IT support tickets submitted via phone, email, or ticketing system in a timely manner. Provide Tier 1 troubleshooting for hardware, software, operating systems, and network connectivity issues. Assist employees with password resets, account access, and MFA configuration. Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on workstations and other IT equipment. Maintain inventory records of hardware and software assets. Support basic network connectivity issues including Wi-Fi, VPN, and wired connections. Monitor alerts and escalate network or server incidents to senior staff. Document all support requests, resolutions, and procedures in the IT ticketing system. Requirements Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an associate or bachelor's degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. No prior professional experience required; hands-on exposure through coursework, academic labs, personal projects, or volunteer tech support is a plus. Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications. Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts. May require occasional after-hours support for critical incidents, system updates or networking and cable management

$16/hr
