Tracks expenditures and ensures funds are allocated properly. Monitors and evaluates budget performance, recommending adjustments as necessary. Reviews contracts and agreements for financial impact and budget alignment. Tracks departmental spending and recommends adjustments to stay within budget limits. Works closely with procurement and finance teams to manage vendor payments and contracts. Develops and maintains budget models, spreadsheets, and dashboards. Provides recommendations for process improvements based on financial trends and data analysis. Supports special projects related to financial planning and operational efficiency. Assists in audits and internal financial reviews. Provides training to staff on budget policies and financial procedures. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma/GED. 3 years of job related work experience. Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations. Ensure accuracy in financial reports, reconciliations, and budget calculations. Evaluate financial issues and propose effective solutions. Work collaboratively with multiple departments, vendors, and finance teams to ensure budget alignment. Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, financial databases, and reporting tools. Ability to understand and implement financial regulations, policies, and procedures. Manage sensitive financial information with integrity and discretion. Present complex financial data in a clear and understandable format for decision-makers.
STARTING SALARY RANGE
$22.96 -$28.70 hourly based on qualifications
