Job Description

Provide a single point of contact for all district staff to resolve problems relating to computer and communications-related services. Responsible for technical support and assistance via in-person, phone, email, or online ticketing service, technology issue evaluation, and distribution of technology-related work orders.

High school diploma
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in troubleshooting and supportUnderstanding of techniques used in all phases of installation and maintenance of IT systems Broad knowledge of technologies used in professional audio, video, and lighting systems Broad knowledge of computer hardware and software applications Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Knowledge of software used to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team-oriented environment Is open and responsive to change and demonstrates a commitment to the process of continuous improvement by identifying and responding actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all users
Experience:
2 years of work experience in a technical support position Preferred, not required
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
End-User Support Process help desk tickets and work cooperatively to assist end-users to resolve problems and use software and hardware. Communicate with software and hardware vendors to resolve end-user problems. Troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user training and assistance where required. Technical Support Support, install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstation software/hardware, networked peripheral devices, and networking software/hardware products. Records and Reports Maintain records and use data to identify areas for improvement including training and maintenance support. Develop and maintain an inventory of all IT assets including history of hardware failure, repair, installation and removal. Compile, maintain, and file reports, records, and other documents as required. Other Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. Other duties as assigned.
