Job Description:
As a Help Desk Technician
  • Level 1, you will be the first line of support for our organization's users, offering essential assistance for a wide range of IT-related issues.
Your primary role will be to filter Help Desk calls, providing basic support and troubleshooting. This position is pivotal in ensuring efficient IT operations and delivering prompt and reliable assistance to our users.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Initial Support and Troubleshooting:
    Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance over the phone or email. Perform initial analysis and troubleshooting for various IT issues, including password resets, printer configurations, and basic break/fix instructions.
  • Ticket Management:
    Efficiently log all help desk interactions and ensure proper documentation of issues and solutions. Route and escalate tickets to Level 2 and Level 3 support teams when necessary.
  • User Assistance:
    Provide clear and concise instructions to users, guiding them through step-by-step solutions in a user-friendly manner. Ensure resolution of issues while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Escalation and Coordination:
    Escalate complex issues to IT applications support or external vendors (Level 4) as needed. Follow up on the progress of resolution and keep users informed.
  • Information Gathering:
    Collect detailed information about user issues, analyzing the root cause and determining the most effective way to resolve their problems.

Documented Solutions:
Offer support for Level 2 and Level 3 issues where solutions have been previously documented, applying these solutions effectively.•
Continuous Learning:
Stay updated on the latest trends and updates in IT support and continuously improve knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in computer science or related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a help desk or technical support role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying solutions in user-friendly language.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Patience and understanding in dealing with users' IT issues.
Working Conditions:
  • This role typically operates in an office environment and may require occasional weekend or evening shifts to cover 24/7 support needs.
Pay:
$19.00
