Job Description
We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to provide responsive technical assistance for end users in San Angelo, TX. This is a Contract-to-Hire position which is ideal for someone who enjoys combining hands-on desktop support with service desk troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on resolving technical issues, supporting hardware and software needs, and delivering dependable customer service across workplace technology.
Responsibilities:
- Provide front-line and desktop-level technical support by diagnosing user issues, fulfilling service requests, and restoring system functionality.
- Install, configure, and update computers, software applications, and peripheral equipment to meet operational needs.
- Handle hands-on troubleshooting for workstations and related devices, including maintenance tasks that help prevent recurring technical problems.
- Set up, distribute, and tailor end-user devices and accessories so employees can work effectively from day one.
- Partner with technical specialists and subject matter experts to address escalated tickets, major incidents, and more complex problem records.
- Use PowerShell to run, adjust, and improve scripts that streamline routine IT support activities and reduce manual effort.
- Maintain accurate support documentation and contribute to process knowledge that strengthens service desk effectiveness.
- Assist with backup-related tasks, system configuration, and other assigned technology support duties as needed.
