Part Time Help Desk Support Salary $12.56 Hourly Location Wharton Campus, 911 Boling Highway, Wharton, TX Job Type Support Staff Part Time Job Number 2608 S 058 Department Vice Pres of Information Technology Area Division Information Technology Opening Date 08/20/2026 Description Benefits Questions General Description The Part Time Help Desk Support is responsible for providing excellent customer service supporting first line response for students, faculty, and staff requiring assistance with information technology request. This position filters and escalates appropriate service requests to the Help Desk Technician or the Help Desk/Training Coordinator Requirements This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of current office work experience or equivalent education (30 college credit hours) or a combination of work experience and education. Basic knowledge of internet browsers, operating systems and basic trouble-shooting techniques is required. Experience answering telephones, communicating effectively with a diverse end-user population, and providing instructions to users is required. A criminal background check is required.
