We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated IT Hardware Specialist to join our dynamic and innovative team. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong passion for working with hardware, possesses deep knowledge of PC components, and is eager to learn and master systems like Linux servers. The ideal candidate should be open to adopting new processes for managing hardware effectively.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining hardware components such as desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals. Perform routine inspections and ensure hardware is in optimal condition. Install, configure, and test new hardware components. Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware into existing systems. Gain proficiency in managing Linux servers and other systems as required by the organization. Implement best practices for system administration and ensure data integrity and security. Identify opportunities to enhance hardware management processes. Propose and implement innovative solutions to streamline hardware-related tasks and improve efficiency. Maintain accurate documentation of hardware inventory, configurations, maintenance logs, and troubleshooting procedures. Create reports to track hardware-related metrics with the use of Microsoft Excel and other internal systems and software. Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments. Provide clear and concise instructions and support to end-users regarding hardware issues and solutions.
Qualifications:
Extreme passion and deep understanding of PC hardware components, including CPUs, RAM, storage devices, and graphics cards. Experience with hardware troubleshooting and maintenance. Familiarity with Linux server administration and willingness to learn and expand expertise in this area (preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for creating reports and managing data. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and processes. Certification(s) in hardware maintenance, system administration, or related fields is a plus.
