We are seeking a skilled IT Service Desk Technician who will also serve as a Project Engineer. This dual-role position will involve providing responsive technical support both onsite and remotely, as well as executing and managing technical projects for our clients. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of independently prioritizing and handling tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Desk Responsibilities:
Provide timely and effective technical support via remote access tools and onsite visits. Manage and resolve client technical issues including hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity. Document and maintain detailed records of incidents, problems, and resolutions. Escalate complex issues as necessary, following defined escalation paths. Monitor client environments proactively to ensure stability, security, and performance.
Project Engineer Responsibilities:
Participate in planning, designing, and executing IT projects, including infrastructure deployments, migrations, and upgrades. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to define project scopes, goals, and deliverables. Execute project tasks, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and client expectations. Communicate effectively and regularly with clients throughout the project lifecycle. Identify, mitigate, and communicate project risks proactively. Document project outcomes, best practices, and knowledge transfers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-3 years experience in IT support or related roles. Proven experience with Windows Server environments, Microsoft 365, networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN), and cybersecurity basics. Experience with remote management and monitoring tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Customer-centric approach with a focus on client satisfaction. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for onsite client visits.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications). Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, etc.). Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and standards. Experience working in Managed Services environments.
Work Environment:
Hybrid role, combining both onsite and remote support. Regular interaction with clients, requiring professional demeanor and attire. Occasional after-hours or weekend work for project implementations and emergencies.
