Technical Services Support / Document Specialist Req #8314 Fort Belvoir, VA, USA Apply Share Job Description Posted Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 1:00 AM We are TekPro Support Services (TSS), a professional solutions firm supporting several military installations and federal agencies across the nation with Financial, Administrative, Technical and Scientific capabilities. TSS is currently seeking Technical Services Support/Document Specialist personnel to contribute to our ongoing mission with the DLA.
What You'll Do:
Technical Services Support personnel fulfilling this role are required to have a sufficient level of experience to provide the following: DoD standardization tools, i.e., ASSIST, QuickSearch and Maintenance. In-depth knowledge of utilizing specialized applications for the discrepancy reporting. Expertise in utilizing existing computer programs for word processing, charts and forms, spreadsheets, etc. Expertise in using these programs for filing and tracking correspondence and maintaining records of projects and related material. Skill in setup, operation, adjustment, and routine maintenance of automated publishing equipment including scanners, terminals, previewers, and printers in order to manipulate digital data and documents and forms, enter format changes, and merge text and graphics. Knowledge of prescribed commands, codes, and basic composition principles and techniques to create documents according to specification requirements. Working knowledge of software and equipment for creating output in variety of digital media and formats. Working knowledge of basic database structure and functions.
What You Bring:
Ability to validate data generated by production and to ensure output is accurate and complete. Ability to generate a variety of queries and other tools that can be used to organize data. Knowledge of record keeping requires recording units for production and billing purposes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with automated document control software is strongly desired. Ability to accomplish tasks within a given timeline with minimal supervision. Strong organization, multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail. Excellent troubleshooting, problem resolution, time management and decision-making skills. Experience with automated document management and control software tools desired. Some experience with XML and manipulating documents as digital data. Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Professional, and Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of the computer network used to complete the production processes for the Discrepancy Reporting Systems, including how data images are routed through the network Contractor shall have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience with document automation and management programs and electronic submittal, scanning, indexing, and distribution of digital documents.
