Technical Support 2 Robert Half - 3.9 Salem, VA Job Details Temporary | Contract $23 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Disability insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Qualifications Laptop (troubleshooting support) Equipment troubleshooting Windows Driver's License Computer hardware Microsoft Teams SharePoint IT Productivity software Full Job Description Key Responsibilities Provide direct onsite IT support for end users across the Salem District Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, desktop, laptop, and wireless device issues Support Microsoft environments including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams Manage service requests using help desk ticketing and tracking systems Perform problem identification, escalation, and resolution tracking while ensuring timely communication with users Support field staff in adopting and utilizing new technologies to improve operational efficiency Provide basic training and guidance to end users on systems and applications (preferred) Create and maintain technical documentation and support materials (nice to have) Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective technology deployment and support Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft desktop environments (Windows, Office 365, SharePoint, MS Teams) 5+ years of experience troubleshooting desktop, laptop, and wireless devices 5+ years of experience using IT service desk or ticketing systems Strong customer service skills with a "customer-first" mindset Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work directly with non-technical end users in field environments Valid driver's license with clean driving history (required for state vehicle use) Preferred Skills Experience providing end-user training and support Familiarity with enterprise mobile and desktop application environments Ability to create training documentation and user guides Prior experience supporting government or large enterprise IT environments Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do. ® Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
