Help Desk Tier 1 Technician (Entry-Level) Are you the person people come to when something isn't working? Do you like figuring things out, even when you don't have all the answers yet? Are you good with people and able to explain things in a way that actually makes sense? If so, keep reading. We are looking for a future IT rockstar. Someone who is into technology but still knows how to "people" (yes, it is a verb around here). We are not looking for a resume as long as our arm. We are looking for someone who wants to learn, put in the work, and build a career in IT. That's it. The types of things you'll jump into Troubleshooting basic user issues (workstations, logins, common errors) Resetting passwords and getting people back into their accounts Helping with email and cloud-based applications Setting up new users and basic workstations Installing and configuring software Fixing printers, peripherals, and whatever else decides to stop working Helping with Wi-Fi and simple network issues Supporting mobile devices Assisting with business phone systems Helping with networking and security camera systems Answering support requests (phone, email, tickets) Creating and updating tickets so nothing gets lost Escalating issues when needed, with clear notes Keeping documentation clean and useful Jumping in to help the team where needed What you must have Strong communication skills. You can talk to people in a way that makes them feel comfortable and understood A genuine interest in technology and how things work Willingness to learn, take feedback, and improve quickly Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks A calm, steady approach when things get busy or frustrating A valid driver's license and reliable transportation (we do occasional on-site work) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be comfortable getting into the less glamorous spots (ladders, under desks, etc.) What would be cool if you had A recent technical program or IT-related education Any hands-on experience (school, personal projects, helping friends and family, etc.) Basic familiarity with computers, networks, or troubleshooting Customer service experience of any kind About us We are a Lakewood-based managed service provider.
