Job Description

Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan (LSS) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Help Desk Support Specialist to join our IT team. This role is critical in ensuring that our staff has the technical support needed to efficiently deliver a wide range of social services across the community. As a Help Desk Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for technical issues, helping to troubleshoot problems and maintain our IT systems to support services including child and family services, addiction support, and disaster response. Responsibilities Respond to help desk tickets and inquiries promptly, providing effective solutions and friendly service. Troubleshoot software and hardware issues to ensure minimal downtime and maintain continuous operations. Conduct regular maintenance and updates of IT systems and software to ensure optimal performance. Assist in the configuration and setup of new IT equipment and software for new and existing staff. Provide training and guidance to staff on new technologies and IT procedures. Maintain detailed records of IT problems and their resolution to improve future handling of issues. Collaborate with IT team members to enhance system security and anticipate potential issues. Required Skills Strong troubleshooting skills in both hardware and software issues. Proficient with various operating systems, especially Windows and Mac OS. Experience with network administration including LAN and WAN. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
