Part-Time Temporary Technical Coordinator - Volleyball West Virginia University United States, West Virginia, Morgantown 62 Morrill Way (Show on map) Sep 21, 2026 Description The Technical Coordinator for Volleyball supports the volleyball program through the collection, management, and analysis of team and player performance data. This position plays a key role in player development, game preparation, and opponent scouting by providing coaches with accurate statistical reporting, video analysis, and data-driven insights. The Technical Coordinator assists with volleyball technology operations, maintains performance databases, charts and codes practice and competition data, and prepares analytical reports to support strategic decision-making. Working closely with the coaching staff, this position serves as a valuable resource for statistical and scouting information while contributing to the overall success of the program. What You'll Do Collect, organize, and analyze player and team performance data to support player development and competitive success.

Create statistical and analytical reports for coaches to assist with game preparation and performance evaluation.

Maintain, monitor, and verify player statistics and performance metrics within team databases.

Chart and code practice and competition data for analysis by coaches and support staff.

Prepare weekly statistical summaries and analytical updates.

Assist in the development of scouting reports on opponents and individual players.

Provide coaches with requested statistical, analytical, and video-related information.

Support volleyball technology and video analysis operations.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Volleyball Coach.

Approximately 4 Months

Work Hours:

20 hours per week Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

A minimum of one (1) year of experience involving:

College athletics

Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.

All qualifications must be met by the time of employment. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Maintain high standard of ethics and integrity related to intercollegiate athletics

Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics

Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA and conference guidelines, policies, rules and regulations with the ability to interpret, apply, enforce and explain such policies and rules

Maintain knowledge of state and University policies and procedures

Exhibit strong creative, organizational and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated knowledge of correct English, grammar, spelling, punctuation and sentence structure

Demonstrated ability to function professionally under high stress and confrontational circumstances

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks for extended period of time

Demonstrated ability to independently plan and organize work

Proactive attitude towards work and assignments

Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community

Demonstrated knowledge of record keeping and adherence to schedule

Ability to stay abreast of information impacting the affected area

Ability to maintain proper unit attendance and punctuality standards, work extended hours including nights and weekends (often with extensive walking and standing)

Demonstrated knowledge of effected areas of involvement

Ability to make administrative / procedural decisions and judgments

Demonstrated knowledge of the rules, terminology and skills related to football and other intercollegiate sports Preferred Qualifications Degree in information technology
