Job is in the San Francisco South Bay Area (Milpitas). To be considered you have to be willing to relocate to the South Bay Area and be authorized to work in the US. Only candidates with 4 years of industry software development experience in machine control using National Instruments LabVIEW will be considered. Willing to travel for tool installation and support (Several times a year)
Responsibilities:
Scope and design software architecture for innovative Electron Beam Microscope based metrology tool. Research and prototype algorithms to perform different aspects of the tool control. Develop calibration and diagnostics methodologies. Support control software activities on tools, including software design, implementation, installation, troubleshooting and testing. Mentor other members of the team on implementing components on the designed architecture. Manage internal and external engineering resources as needed to progress the project. Document design, debugging and testing procedures. Develop machine control software for semiconductor capital equipment including test instrumentation, performing data acquisition and analysis. Ability to write machine control software in LabVIEW. Write higher level software for automation. Work with technical requirement specifications to develop and document code. Implement intuitive slick GUI.
Qualifications:
MS/PhD in Computer/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering related technical discipline. Or BS with equivalent work experience Strong analytical abilities, especially in numeric algorithms and physics domain. Proficiency in LabVIEW development for GUI and time critical applications. Strong hands on skills on hardware control SW and troubleshooting. Must have at least 4+ years of software development experience in machine control using National Instruments LabVIEW. Preferably at the Semiconductor industry. Proficient in Object Oriented development concept. Experience developing with text-based software like Python is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated, results oriented person with a delivery focus.
Pay Range:
USD $140,000.00 - USD $190,000.00 /Yr.
