If so, Apple's AI & Data Platform (AiDP) team is seeking a Software Engineer to work on building and scaling best in class data and reporting apps presenting metrics & performance indicators with the least latency and outstanding user experience. Description We are looking for a team member that will be able to think creatively and should have a real passion for building highly scalable applications with end users in focus. You will engage directly with key business partners to understand the business strategies and solution needs. You will drive and lead functional & technical discussions with development teams and expected to design and own end to end applications. This position is an extraordinary opportunity for a competent, expert, and results-oriented Framework Software Engineer to define and build some of the best-in-class data platforms and products. Responsibilities As a Framework Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building various tools and features for Data and ML platforms, including data processing, insights portal, data observability, data lineage, model hub, and data visualization. You will either work on building custom solutions ground up or take open source products and customize them for Apple's needs. We're looking for an individual who loves to take challenges, tackles problems with imaginative solutions, works well in collaborative teams, and can produce high-quality software under tight deadlines and constraints. This role involves building innovative tools and frameworks that can extend the functionality of 3rd party BI tools using APIs. Minimum Qualifications 6+ years or more of hands-on proficiency with Java and/or Python or similar language Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms. Experience designing and developing scalable & performant micro-services and Rest APIs Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure or similar Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field Preferred Qualifications - Strong problem-solving skills and Excellent communication skills Experience in building and deploying cloud-native applications/products Working experience with Big data technologies and data platforms Familiarity in working with frontend frameworks Hands-on experience with distributed computing technologies Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores Prior experience in the areas of AI/ML/Data Sciences will be a strong plus Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
