Full Job Description Location:
Boulder, CO Position Type:
Full Time, Primarily In-Person with Hybrid available periodically We're hiring a Software Infrastructure & Operations Engineer to improve the servers, services, databases, data pipelines, deployments, and support workflows behind our energy systems. You'll focus on reliability, monitoring, automation, and maintainability while working closely with device communications, system integration, and commissioning.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Manage and troubleshoot Linux servers, services, Docker containers, and edge or on-prem infrastructure. Build monitoring, logs, alerts, health checks, and dashboards using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or similar. Keep databases and data pipelines healthy, including ingestion, data freshness, backups, and retention. Automate setup, configuration, deployment, and maintenance with Python, Bash, Ansible, or similar tools. Improve Git-based deployment and release workflows. Troubleshoot networking and device connectivity, including IP addressing, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, ports, and routing.
Support commissioning:
prepare servers, check device connections, and validate services, logging, databases, and deployment readiness. Improve ticketing, triage, and backlog workflows. Create clear runbooks, checklists, and documentation for support and handoffs. Work with software, electrical, hardware, and field engineers to investigate issues and support reliable deployed systems.
Bonus Experience:
Experience with renewable energy, batteries, solar, backup power, microgrids, or industrial energy systems. Familiarity with industrial controls, Modbus, MQTT, PLCs, HMI/SCADA, inverters, or battery management systems. Field deployment or commissioning experience; knowledge of cybersecurity, infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, or fleet management. To apply, please send your resume and a cover letter to
