Your role and responsibilities As an Application Architect specializing in Cloud Data Modernization, you will lead and build data modernization and transformation solutions. You will work closely with technical leads, database administrators, and database developers to deliver scalable and highly available data migration solutions leveraging cloud technologies.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Design Data Migration Solutions:

Develop and implement data migration solutions at scale, including Extract/Transform/Load activities for multiple data and database technologies, such as Oracle to PostgreSQL and relational to NoSQL.

•

Transform Business Requirements:

Convert business requirements into technical specifications, and develop prototypes and proof of concepts for specified business challenges.

• Collaborate with

Clients:

Assist clients in architecting scalable and highly available data migration solutions, utilizing agile development methodologies and cloud technologies.

•

Develop Data Transformation Prototypes:

Create prototypes and proof of concepts for data transformation activities, including data transformation of business rules between COTS systems.

•

Provide Technical Recommendations:

Offer technical recommendations and solutions for like-for-like data migrations, ensuring seamless data integration and minimal disruption. Required education High School Diploma/GED Preferred education Bachelor's Degree Required technical and professional expertise

Data Migration Expertise:

Experience with designing and implementing data migration solutions at scale, including Extract/Transform/Load activities for multiple data and database technologies.

Database Technologies Knowledge:

Experience with various database technologies, including RDBMS (Oracle, Postgre

SQL, SQL

Server, Amazon RDS), Data Lake technologies, and NoSQL databases.

•

Data Transformation Tools Familiarity:

Experience with data transformation tools such as IBM InfoSphere DataStage, Informatica PowerCenter, Microsoft SSIS, and Oracle Data Integrator.

•

Programming Skills:

Experience with programming languages such as Python, and data formats like XML and JSON.

•

Cloud Technologies Understanding:

Experience with cloud technologies and agile development methodologies to deliver scalable and highly available data migration solutions.

• DoD Secret Clearance Preferred technical and professional experience

•

Data Warehousing Knowledge:

Exposure to Data Warehouse to Data Lake solutions, Indexed file systems to database management systems, and data transformation of business rules between COTS systems.

Agile Development Methodologies:

Experience working with agile development methodologies to deliver scalable and highly available data migration solutions.

•

Cloud Technology Familiarity:

Exposure to cloud technologies, including Amazon RDS, to leverage scalable and highly available data migration solutions.
