Come join our growing team! We are seeking an innovative Business Systems Development Engineer to transform our dealership operations. In this role, you will build, integrate, maintain, and continuously improve our core software systems using the Google ecosystem and modern cloud tools. You will serve as the technical bridge between cloud technology, AI tools, and heavy equipment retail operations. Your primary focus will be connecting Google Apps Script and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) workflows to our enterprise Dealership Management Systems (DMS) like CDK IntelliDealer. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives on end-to-end ownership, enjoys streamlining business workflows, and wants to eliminate manual operational bottlenecks.

Key Responsibilities System Development & Integration:

Build and maintain secure data pipelines connecting Google Apps Script, Google Cloud tools, and internal databases directly to CDK Global / IntelliDealer platforms.

Google Platform & AI Automation:

Write, test, and deploy custom scripts in Google Apps Script to automate workflows across Sheets, Docs, Forms, and Gmail, scaling heavier workloads to GCP. Integrate OpenAI/ChatGPT APIs to automate data extraction, document summarization, and process triage.

Continuous Improvement:

Audit legacy automation pipelines, resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize code to prevent sync timeouts, and eliminate manual entry errors.

Infrastructure & System Maintenance:

Provision and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK). Set up proactive error monitoring, track API rate limits, and run routine code maintenance for maximum uptime.

Documentation & Stakeholder Support:

Author clear system architecture maps, API endpoint guides, and user manuals. Translate technical concepts into practical solutions for non-technical department managers (Sales, Parts, Service) and provide direct support when workflows require adjustments.

Required Skills & Qualifications Experience:

1-4 years of professional software development, business systems engineering, or DevOps experience.

Core Languages:

Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) or TypeScript.

Google Ecosystem Expertise:

Demonstrated experience building solutions with Google Apps Script and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (e.g., Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, BigQuery).

API Integration & AI:

Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON web services, and OAuth 2.0 security protocols. Direct experience integrating OpenAI/ChatGPT APIs into production or automation pipelines.

Cloud Infrastructure:

Practical experience or hands-on training with AWS CDK for cloud infrastructure provisioning.

Version Control:

Consistent use of Git and cloud repositories (GitHub/GitLab) for code tracking, branching, and deployment.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical thinking, self-directed problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical business leaders. Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

DMS & Industry Knowledge:

Practical experience or familiarity with dealership applications (CDK Global, IntelliDealer) or operations in the heavy equipment, agricultural, commercial vehicle, or automotive retail sectors.

Database & Secondary Languages:

Working knowledge of relational databases (SQL, BigQuery) or secondary languages like Python or Node.js.

Business Intelligence:

Experience feeding dealership metrics into data visualization tools like Google Looker Studio or Power BI. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical work experience.

Pay:

$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
