Collaborate with data-driven teams of software developers, quantitative researchers, network engineers, systems administrators, and data scientists to drive technology innovation across the organization, serving all aspects of electronic trading globally. Design the computational and data-oriented platforms in use across different groups. Assist with design and development of several core services offered through a PaaS-like experience. Work closely with development teams from the early stages of design all the way through identifying and resolving production issues. Assist in the roll-out and deployment of new platforms and features. Serve as primary point for the overall health, performance and capacity of business-facing compute platforms. Requires a bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field. Education, training, or experience must include the following: Programming languages including C++, Go, Python, Node.js or similar; Building, scaling, and managing container orchestration platforms including Kubernetes; Working in a Linux High Performance Compute environment; Building self-service APIs and tuning, sharding, and partitioning systems to auto-manage platforms at scale; and, Designing and developing core services offered through a Platform-as-a-Service-like experience including large-scale compute and container runtimes, observability platforms, caching, data-stores, service discovery, secrets or integrated development and deployment pipelines.
