Kubernetes & Ansible Platform EngineerLocation:
Panama City Beach, FLClearance:
Top Secret (preferred) or Secret (required) Position Overview ISPA Technology is seeking a Kubernetes & Ansible Platform Engineer to help design, automate, harden, and sustain a modern platform environment spanning virtual infrastructure, VDI, and container orchestration. This role sits at the intersection of platform engineering, infrastructure automation, and operational reliability. You will help transform complex build, deployment, and sustainment work into repeatable, version-controlled workflows that reduce drift and accelerate delivery. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who is equally comfortable in Linux, automation frameworks, and infrastructure troubleshooting, and who understands that elegant engineering is only valuable when it is also resilient, supportable, and secure. What You Will Do Engineer, deploy, and sustain Kubernetes-based platform capabilities supporting containerized workloads and orchestration services. Develop and maintain Ansible automation for provisioning, configuration management, patching, baseline enforcement, and operational recovery tasks. Support VDI, VI, and container orchestration environments, including systems integration, lifecycle management, and troubleshooting across development and production-like environments. Implement Infrastructure as Code and configuration-as-code practices to improve speed, consistency, auditability, and repeatability. Partner with systems, cyber, and network engineers to integrate platform services with identity, logging, monitoring, backup, and security controls. Document architecture, build procedures, operational playbooks, maintenance processes, and recovery workflows for long-term sustainment. Technical Environment Kubernetes administration and workload orchestration Ansible playbooks, roles, inventories, and automation design Linux systems administration and shell scripting Container platforms, images, registries, and cluster services Virtualized infrastructure and VDI support concepts Configuration management, patching, and baseline enforcement Git-based workflow and change control Monitoring, logging, and operational support processes Required Qualifications Experience engineering or administering Kubernetes or comparable container orchestration platforms in enterprise or mission environments. Strong experience with Ansible for provisioning, configuration management, and automation at scale. Hands-on Linux administration experience, including troubleshooting services, networking, storage, and permissions. Working knowledge of virtualization, platform sustainment, and infrastructure integration patterns. Ability to create clear technical documentation and operational procedures. Ability to work effectively in controlled, security-conscious environments with change management and operational discipline. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting VDI or virtual infrastructure environments. Familiarity with CI/CD integration for platform automation. Exposure to STIG-aligned hardening, RMF-aware environments, or security scanning workflows. Experience with backup, observability, or platform resiliency engineering. Why ISPA Technology Work on meaningful defense and mission-support engineering problems with experienced technical teams. Contribute across automation, cyber, platforms, networking, integration, and test—not just one narrow lane. Join a culture that values ownership, technical depth, curiosity, and practical execution. Live and work in Panama City Beach, Florida, with direct access to a growing technical mission hub. We are looking for engineers who combine technical depth with practical execution—people who can turn complexity into clarity, and design into dependable results.Similar remote jobs
