Technology, Software, IT, Electronics Description Description SAIC is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer in Pearl City, Hawaii to support
INDOPACOM
in joint simulations, core IT systems, exercise design, architecture, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems, issue coordination/resolution and technical SME during event tests and execution.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Coordinates with technical planners and engineers to design simulation and Common Operational Picture (COP) technical architectures and solutions to include cross-domain solutions (CDS). Build and maintain computer models (or simulation) and C4I software and systems. Tests and validates simulation solutions during the design and planning stages to ensure the solution works during event execution. Performs systems engineering and administration during technical tests (EFT, EOT) and during ECG Training and CPX/FTX execution. Identifies equipment required, hardware specs, the software required, and builds software image and/or system installation and configuration per event participant requirements. Coordinates with team to perform system tests, generate equipment plans, and packaging equipment for deployment to other countries. Builds set up and execution plans, SOPs, presentations, diagrams, technical documentation, floor plans, and training materials to ensure success at exercises. Builds simulation and C4I systems for use during wargames, exercises, and technical events. Coordinates and installs network components as required, including switches and cabling. Sets up and provides required database, terrain, maps, and other products for event execution. Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors and nine (9)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree. Modeling and simulation experience. Model Interoperability (DIS, HLA, TENA). Map and terrain data experience. Model Development. C4I systems administration, integration, interoperability, and architecture experience OTH-G. Link 16 / JREAP-C. Virtual infrastructure. VMware. Cloud solutions. Networked application configuration and deployment. Experience with Linux and Windows system administration. Experience with system configuration automation with Shell scripts and PowerShell.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION
Must have a current DoD 8750 IAT level II or higher certification such as Security+ CE, CySA+, CASP, CISSP, etc.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE
Must have a current Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret / SCI. Must be a current US Citizen.
Target salary range:
$120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
