Job Title:
Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)
Google Cloud & Gemini Enterprise Location:
Deerfield, IL-Hybrid Duration:
Longterm Position Overview As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) at Zion Cloud Solutions, you will work directly alongside our most strategic enterprise clients to accelerate their digital transformation. In this highly technical, client-facing role, you will act as the engineering bridge between business reality and cutting-edge technology. You will write code directly within client environments to deploy production-ready cloud infrastructure and drive the adoption of Gemini Enterprise and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
Key Responsibilities Partner Collaboration:
Leverage Zion s Google Partner status to deliver high-impact cloud migrations and custom AI implementations.
Enterprise Deployment:
Architect and build scalable, secure, and production-ready cloud solutions integrating Gemini Enterprise into complex ecosystems.
Hands-on Engineering:
Write high-quality backend code and build the integration pipelines required to move AI prototypes into stable production environments.
Technical Advocacy:
Guide client technical leaders through architectural decisions, security compliance, governance, and cloud optimization best practices. Minimum Qualifications 5 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building and deploying enterprise-ready applications and infrastructure.
Cloud Foundations:
Deep technical expertise in cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform preferred, AWS, or Azure) with strong foundations in networking, IAM, security, and CI/CD pipelines.
Programming Skills:
Proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language, with a heavy emphasis on Python or Go.
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications Data & AI Background:
1 2 years of experience with Data & AI technologies, such as data pipelines (BigQuery, Spark), vector databases, or LLM frameworks.
AI Solutions Experience:
Practical understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, prompt engineering, or multi-agent systems.
Consultative Delivery:
Proven track record of navigating complex enterprise governance and data privacy standards in a consulting or partner-facing capacity.
