Systems Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Systems Engineer to remotely lead, support, and coordinate mission-critical TVECS application system architecture and infrastructure sustainment activities. This role ensures operability at eight North American Manufacturing Centers (NAMCs). Responsibilities Test and deploy quarterly application version upgrades provided by the software vendor. Perform quarterly server patching validation activities. Provide troubleshooting and application support for planned and emergent events. Ensure IT compliance, focusing on cybersecurity, access control, and obsolescence. Support TVECS and connected-system changepoint activity. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Knowledge of MS Windows operating environment (server 2016+, Windows 10+). Understanding of information technology networking, architecture, security, account management, policy, and webpage design. 3+ years of related experience in Engineering/Software Engineering. Knowledge in PLC IO and data networks (ControlNet, Device Net, Ethernet/IP, FLNET). 2+ years of project management experience in building plans, procurement service, scope control, and progress monitoring. Ability to work cross-functionally with local (North America) and overseas (Japan) manufacturing engineering teams and IT groups. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build consensus within a team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage projects effectively. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with PLC IO and Data networks (ControlNet, Device Net, Ethernet/IP, FLNET) is preferred. Knowledge of .NET technologies is a plus. Strong troubleshooting and technical support capabilities across applications, servers, and PCs. Work Environment The team oversees all locations and ensures continuous system uptime. Infrastructure includes multiple servers and approximately 50 nodes that collect data from the internal application. The internal application is used to verify vehicle electronic systems for quality assurance. The role involves software development and equipment testing, supporting validation activities, and managing traceability for system processes. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting application issues, identifying solutions, performing PC formatting, Windows Server administration, networking restructuring, and facilitating process improvement initiatives through application interfaces. The role is four days onsite and one day remote at PEMC, with flexibility available based on project needs. The interview process consists of a single round 60-minute MS Teams interview. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Georgetown, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $55.00/hr.
