Works full lifecycle, leading trade studies, test efforts, and risk mitigation. Supports MBSE/digital engineering and modernization initiatives (MOSA/OMS). Focuses on secure architectures, including encryption/key management, satellite communications, and emerging technologies. Skills and Requirements 3-7 years systems/communications engineering (full lifecycle) Bachelor's or equivalent experience System integration + external interfaces Test planning, execution, and validation (V&V) Trade studies (cost, schedule, performance, security) Experience with secure/resilient system design MBSE or digital engineering exposure Strong documentation and briefing skills Risk management (Air Force aligned) Familiarity with DoDI 8140 (631/632) Basic knowledge of encryption/key management NC3 or strategic comms experience Satellite communications / frequency knowledge Quantum or advanced encryption exposure
