MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Junior Cloud Engineer to join our team in Springfield, VA . Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Serve our Microsoft Azure customers in executing project tasks/activities, supervising work completion, perform quality reviews, and report progress. Work with a team to deliver Systems Engineering and Systems Administration for Azure, ITSM, Sentris and Sentris-integrated solutions. Assist with technical design and implementation using Agile methodologies such as a Scrum team. Plan, schedule, and update program activities in MS Project, ADO, etc. Identify high-risk areas and present recommendations to management. Build and maintain influential relationships with key client personnel. Coordinate root-cause analysis for complex technical errors within Azure and integrated environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and at least 1 year of related technical experience. An additional 2 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Demonstrated knowledge of System Engineering Lifecycle phases, Sentris, and Microsoft Azure. Proven ability to systematically diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, cloud, and application-level technical errors under tight timelines. Position requires compliance with DoD 8140.03 (Cybersecurity Workforce Management Program). The applicant must possess, or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire, an approved baseline credential matching the required DoD 8140 Work Role System Administrator (451). Ability to analyze KPI and SLA data and provide insight or causation to variance or poor performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience implementing AI-driven services or API-integrated cloud solutions (e.g., Azure OpenAI, RESTful APIs, or API management tools). Experience with Incident Management frameworks (such as ITIL) to handle SLA-driven ticketing, escalation paths, and zero-day technical errors. Experience identifying and performing schedule risk analysis. Experience establishing/maintaining schedule templates, processes, and procedures Security Clearance Requirement Candidate must have a current/active Top Secret / SCI clearance Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75%. The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office. The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
