•$155,000 to $180,000 per year
•Starting salary is based on minimum education and years of experience and increases based on education and/or experience. WOOD Federal Solutions, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and forwardthinking Systems Engineer Level 3 to help drive missioncritical initiatives focused on developing, integrating, evaluating, and operationalizing cuttingedge Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities within a complex government environment. In this role, you'll collaborate with mission stakeholders, government leadership, and crossfunctional engineering teams to shape usercentric standards, frameworks, and technical solutions that define how humanintheloop and humanontheloop AI systems are built and deployed. While prior experience supporting AI, Machine Learning (ML), or advanced analytics initiatives is not a mandatory requirement, we're looking for someone who brings curiosity, adaptability, and a strong willingness to grow into this rapidly evolving area. Security Clearance Requirements:
This position requires all candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph. Responsibilities Systems Engineering & Requirements Management systems engineering principles throughout the system lifecycle, including concept development, requirements analysis, architecture development, integration, verification, validation, deployment, and operational support. Collaborate with government stakeholders and technical teams to develop and refine stakeholder requirements and mission needs. Coordinate across teams and organizations to ensure solutions satisfy technical and operational requirements. Assist in planning, tracking, and managing engineering activities, risks, dependencies, and technical decisions. AI Systems Standards & Integration Support the development of user-centric standards and the creation of governance frameworks for human-in-the-loop and human-on-the-loop AI systems. Assist with cross-product integration activities to ensure consistency and interoperability across mission capabilities. Participate in the development, evaluation, and implementation of AI-related engineering standards and practices. Support technical implementation activities associated with AI-enabled mission systems. Stakeholder Engagement & Technical Communication Document and communicate technical information, recommendations, status, risks, and decisions both orally and in writing.
