Job Description
Meet the team: The Onboard Platform - High Level OS team is an embedded software team which is responsible for managing OS bring-up and maintenance including but not limited to kernel/device tree, rootfs, runtime configs, firmware, secure-world interfaces, and secure boot for onboard/secondary systems. What you'll do: Produce, test, and maintain Board Support Packages for a variety of platforms Develop and maintain Linux kernel modules Implement secure boot mechanisms Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of hardware, software and system engineers to ensure the success of our product What you'll need to succeed: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field and 4+years of relevant experience (or Master's degree and 2+years of relevant experience, or PhD) Experience with Yocto/OpenEmbedded, buildroot, or similar Linux packaging technologies Bootloader experience, including but not limited to U-Boot or UEFI. Nice to have (optional): Experience in working with Multi-Processor/Heterogeneous SoC Platforms Experience with Secure Boot, DMVerity, FSCrypt, and other production-security technologies Experience using the gtest framework for unit test development Development and support of software tools and infrastructure that improve developer experience Expertise in Linux-based software development and related technologies including gtests, Python, Bazel, and Docker.
