A Systems Engineer creates computer and data communication networks for companies and organizations. Plans and designs layout for a network, determines the hardware needed and placement of computers, servers, cables and routers; determines data storage, system capacity, and speed.

As a System Engineer - Database & Virtualization, you'll help build, support, and optimize the technology that powers our organization, ensuring our systems remain secure, reliable, and ready for the future. What You'll Do Design, manage, and optimize enterprise database environments, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and data integrity practices. Design, implement, and support virtualization and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions. Support cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. Partner with infrastructure, security, application, and data teams to support business objectives. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and support disaster recovery and resiliency efforts. Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of experience in cloud systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or a related technology role. Strong hands-on experience with both relational and non-relational databases (Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar). Experience managing cloud infrastructure in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience supporting VDI solutions such as Azure Virtual Desktop, VMware Horizon, or similar technologies. Strong understanding of hybrid infrastructure environments. Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, backup and recovery strategies, and infrastructure security best practices. Preferred Qualifications Experience within a financial institution or other regulated environment. PowerShell scripting and automation experience. Experience with enterprise storage, monitoring, and observability tools. Relevant Microsoft, Azure, or VMware certifications.
