This role focuses on maintaining daily security operations, strengthening controls across a Microsoft-centered environment, and creating clear documentation for security practices. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in infrastructure protection, policy development, and operational support across enterprise systems.
Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day security engineering support across the organization's technology environment and respond to operational security needs. Create, update, and maintain security procedures, standards, and technical documentation to improve consistency and compliance. Administer and strengthen protections for firewall platforms, endpoint security tools, and email security solutions. Review system configurations and recommend improvements that reduce risk across Microsoft server, Active Directory, Azure, and Microsoft 365 services. Support security controls for collaboration and business platforms such as Teams, SharePoint, payroll systems, and other enterprise applications. Monitor the environment for vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and security gaps, and coordinate remediation activities with internal stakeholders. Contribute to security-related configuration management practices to help maintain stable and secure systems. Assist with planned infrastructure and platform upgrade activities by ensuring security requirements are addressed during implementation. Strong working knowledge of firewall technologies and firewall security administration. Experience with endpoint protection, email security, and broader infrastructure security controls. Familiarity with configuration management practices in enterprise IT environments. Ability to develop, document, and maintain cyber security policies, procedures, and technical standards. Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft-based environments, including Active Directory, Azure, and Microsoft 365 services. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to support day-to-day security operations effectively.
