Gateway Fiber is seeking an outstanding individual to fill the role of System Administrator 3. Gateway Fiber is a locally owned and operated internet service provider on a mission to positively impact communities through better internet. Gateway is creating a leading, national fiber-to-the-home platform. With the support of its financial sponsor CBRE Investment Management, Gateway plans to reach 500,000 homes and businesses with its service over the next several years. Gateway provides faster, more reliable internet with a simple pricing model and industry-leading customer service.

The Successful Candidate:
A capable system and network administrator with practical experience supporting enterprise IT environments. A self-motivated problem solver who can identify issues, troubleshoot thoughtfully, and follow through to resolution. Someone who values reliable systems, clean handoffs, and documentation that helps the team work better. Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where ownership, judgment, and teamwork matter. A teammate who jumps in to help, shares knowledge, and looks for practical ways to improve how work gets done. What you'll do: Administer and support Gateway's Microsoft cloud environment, including Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, and Security Center. Support Azure virtual machines, networking, and storage resources through routine configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Help build processes, automation, and tooling to allow Gateway to simplify and scale. Maintain Windows Server and VMware environments to help keep systems reliable, secure, and well documented. Monitor systems, respond to alerts and tickets, and resolve infrastructure and end-user issues with urgency and follow-through. Apply security, access, and operational best practices across systems, applications, networks, and data storage platforms. Contribute to technical projects, process improvements, and documentation that help the IT team operate consistently and effectively. Configure, monitor, and maintain security platforms including Cisco Meraki and Arctic Wolf to support a secure, reliable, and compliant enterprise environment. Assist with security incident response, threat monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and network hardening efforts across cloud, server, and network infrastructure. What's in it for you? What you'll bring to the table: Microsoft Azure or other cloud certification, or at least 5 years of experience in physical and cloud network and server administration. Experience administering Microsoft cloud services, including Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, and Security Center. Experience supporting Microsoft Azure virtual machines, networking, and storage. Practical knowledge of computer systems, security, network administration, databases, and data storage systems. Experience with RMM tools such as NinjaOne, Atera, or Intune. VMware ESXi and vCenter administration experience is a plus. Experience administering and troubleshooting security technologies such as Cisco Meraki, Arctic Wolf, firewalls, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and security monitoring platforms. Understanding of security best practices, including network segmentation, access control, threat detection, incident response, and secure configuration management.
