About the Role If you are a technical problem-solver who thrives in high-velocity environments, this position offers the autonomy to optimize complex industrial systems. You will play a pivotal role in driving operational reliability by enhancing the performance of advanced automation, robotics, and control technologies. Responsibilities Design and implement reliability improvements for material handling systems to maximize facility uptime. Troubleshoot and refine PLC software, specifically utilizing Allen Bradley Controllogix/Compactlogix and RSLogix 5000 environments. Serve as the primary technical escalation point for diagnosing and resolving complex electrical and software issues on-site. Manage the lifecycle of technical projects, including contractor oversight, system upgrades, and network integration. Analyze equipment failure data to develop proactive maintenance strategies and prevent future operational bottlenecks. Maintain industrial network integrity, including Ethernet, Profibus, and servo drive configurations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate project status, technical requirements, and performance impacts. Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of technical experience and education. 2-5 years of hands-on experience in controls engineering, PLC programming, and SCADA systems. Proven ability to manage engineering design cycles from initial specification to final implementation. Capability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and navigating industrial facility environments. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision. Preferred Skills Direct experience maintaining sortation systems, conveyors, and robotic components. Advanced proficiency in technical documentation and data analysis using Microsoft Office. Background in formal apprenticeship or specialized control systems training. Strong mathematical aptitude for calculating complex system performance metrics.
