Our client specializes in providing expert solutions tailored to businesses. Their services encompass IT staffing services, cybersecurity, computer system validation, SDLC, GxP compliance, quality management, audits, risk assessment, software assurance, and AI technology compliance. They are seeking an experienced Cloud Specialist for a program supporting the state of Mississippi Department of Archives & History in Jackson, MS. This is a full-time onsite position.

•Friday. 40 hours per week.
Compensation:
$45
•50 per hour. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Develops and modifies scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) and platform-as-a-service (PAAS) platforms. Ensures the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy. Moves existing on-premises applications, workloads, and databases to public cloud platforms safely. Monitors and analyzes cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Designs controls and processes that utilize available audit tools. Maintains up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology.
Qualifications:
• Proficiency in major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with automation and scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Understanding of cloud networking, virtual private clouds (VPCs), and firewalls. Advanced VM management, Windows Server/Active Directory, and Linux administration.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Preferred skills/experience 5-6+ years working with AWS or Microsoft Azure. Prior government or regulated industry experience.
