Respond with Compassionate Action We are seeking a Platform Solutions Architect to join our Information Technology team in Boone, NC (or another approved on-site location). Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the role of Platform Solutions Architect , you will have the opportunity to: Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ. Lead the design, delivery, deployment, and ongoing management of enterprise platform infrastructure, while providing technical leadership, guidance, and direction to a team of Platform Engineers. Plan, monitor, and optimize platform performance, reliability, scalability, and availability to ensure infrastructure effectively supports ministry operations. Partner with Cyber Security to design and implement security controls and practices that protect IT platforms, systems, and organizational resources. Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities to strengthen platform resilience and operational readiness. Collaborate with ministry and IT stakeholders to assess evolving needs and evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, tools, and platforms for strategic integration into the ministry's IT ecosystem. Other duties as assigned. What are the qualifications? Serve with Excellence As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience: Bachelor's degree or university program certificate in a related field and ten (10)+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or a related IT discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Comprehensive technical experience designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-native infrastructure, including Linux, storage, virtualization, networking, cloud platforms, containerization, infrastructure automation, and scripting technologies such as OpenStack, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Bash. Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture and IT security principles, including architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, security standards such as ISO 27001, and practices for designing secure, scalable, and resilient technology platforms. Strong analytical, communication, and project execution skills, with experience troubleshooting complex platform issues, communicating technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, and managing multiple priorities and projects within established timelines and budgets. 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.
