Job Description

Job Summary The Cloud Engineer will work within a highly collaborative, cross-functional engineering team focused on building innovative cloud-native technology solutions. This role combines strong technical expertise with a passion for emerging technologies, DevOps culture, open-source collaboration, and continuous learning. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of scalable cloud-native applications and infrastructure while leveraging modern engineering practices, automation, and cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and support cloud-native applications and backend technology solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions. Develop and maintain APIs and backend services using modern software engineering practices. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation (CFT), or ARM templates. Design and architect cloud-native applications across AWS and/or Azure environments. Build and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Apply software engineering design principles, patterns, and best practices throughout the development lifecycle. Participate in cloud modernization initiatives and adoption of emerging technologies. Support DevOps practices, automation strategies, and operational excellence initiatives. Contribute to a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Stay current with cloud technologies, industry trends, and engineering best practices. Required Qualifications Hands-on experience with two or more programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, C++, or Angular. Strong experience designing and developing APIs and backend technology stacks. Experience delivering applications using software engineering best practices and principles. Hands-on experience applying software engineering design patterns and architectural principles. Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms. Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation (CFT), ARM templates, or Terraform. Experience designing and architecting cloud-native applications. Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD). Strong understanding of DevOps principles and cloud engineering best practices. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Generative AI, Machine Learning, or developer assistance tools such as GitHub Copilot or Gemini Code Assist. Knowledge or experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP). Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes. Experience contributing to open-source projects or working within cloud-native engineering communities.
